Claims underwriting is attractive to FMO's for customers with high excesses or high aggregates. In this scenario we fund and cover the not at fault accident damage outlays (repairs, assessing, mobility, towing etc). The repairer still gets paid as it does on completion of the repair, but the FMO isn't out of pocket whilst awaiting or trying to recover on a not at fault claim.
